Pumpkin Ravioli and Sauce


  • Trader Joe’s pumpkin ravioli
  • 28 oz can cento San Marzano peeled tomatoes
  • 1/2 tbs salt
  • 1/2 tbs sugar
  • 1/2 tbs pepper
  • 1 cup pumpkin purée
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 medium yellow onion chopped finely
  • 1 tbs minced garlic


  1. Heat olive oil in a large pan at medium low heat
  2. Add onion and cook for 5 minutes or until onion are nearing translucency (stir every few moments to make sure it doesn’t burn)
  3. Add garlic and cook for another 3 minutes or until golden brown
  4. Open canned tomato and pour into a bowl, crush tomatoes with your hand and add to a the onions and oil
  5. Add salt, pepper, sugar, purée and cinnamon and stir
  6. Cook sauce for 20-25 minutes
  7. Boil 2 cups water in a pan, add ravioli and cook for 2-3 minutes
  8. Add sauce to ravioli and enjoy!
